From the first point of contact Matt has been great. We tried to use one of my bikes but sadly the frame wasn't compatible. Matt then helped me find a suitable bike to use.
The "build" process only seemed to take a couple of days and I was reunited with the bike. Since then Ive had a it for a couple of weeks and racked up over 400 miles on all sorts of terrain and the bike has been a wonder.
Thanks to Matt for a great service, you've been a star, really easy to contact and flexible over the things I needed from him.

Matt and Adam did an amazing job converting my Workcycles FR8. This is a heavy Dutch family bike capable of carrying up to 3 little ones plus shopping. I wanted to use it for the school run everyday which is a 6 mile round trip.
Since the conversion riding has become a real pleasure. It glides along effortlessly even fully loaded and has resulted in us using the car less. Journeys that I wouldn’t have contemplated before have now become easily manageable and is resulting in a little less pollution for the planet which was the main goal.

The first thing to note is that I live in Clackmannanshire in Scotland, so everything has had to be done remotely, for example I wasn't able to test the bike after conversion. But read on! I sent my 17 year old Specialized Tri-Cross off to E-My-Bike by courier, after a fairly lengthy exchange of messages with Matt. The conversion was done in three days or so, and the total time including courier would have been about a week but an English bank holiday stretched that a bit. The bike came back considerably cleaner than it had been, and with a very professionally and neatly installed motor, battery and so one. In my case this had to include a 3D printed bracket for the controller, at no extra cost, because Bafang don't make a bracket to fit my bars. Any slight teething problems have been sorted by simple messaging, the aftercare I've had has been great. As for the bike, well, it's wonderful, especially when it comes to carrying heavy shopping over the local trails!
Matt is helpful and very patient, his mechanic (can't remember his name) has great attention to detail. I would use these guys anytime.

I had been thinking of having my bike converted to electric, when on discussing it with a friend, he recommended I contact e-my-bike.co.uk. On doing this, I was answered by Matt, who courteously answered my questions and explained in detail what the process involved. I decided to go ahead. Matt called by arrangement, and collected
my bike, explaining that his business partner Adam carried out the work, and that the bike would be completely overhauled and checked as part of the overall process.
I was further impressed when Matt phoned me to keep me abreast of the progress of the work, and to discuss and give me the opportunity to give my thoughts & wishes on certain options.
The bike was returned within a few days, and I was amazed at the transformation, the bike looking sparkling new, and with the fitting of
the motor and battery having been carried out very professionally to a high Standard.
Matt gave me very concise, but comprehensive instructions, and I was off for a bike ride like never before, with the fitted digital display unit
indicating speed, mileage, And the power ratio (1 of 5) selected, (a dream riding up gradients effortlessly).

Took my touring bike on its maiden journey after the E-My-Bike team fitted the battery to my Kona Sutra. I was on a touring weekend with two friends. We rode from Preston to Silverdale on the first day. It was mainly flat apart from two steep hills. We arrived at Silverdale feeling fresh and 80% of my battery available. We had travelled around 48miles. However, I enjoy riding & only wanted the battery to support my cycling. This it did admirably.
The second day was a different kettle of fish!! Hill after hill, all day long. One was 20% & others were 15, 12, 10%. I needed to walk up the short 20% section (bearing in mind, I had two panniers with a tent, sleeping equipment, clothing etc). However, it climbed up the other hills with relative ease. I got to the top of one peak 8 minutes before the others.
When I came home, I took the panniers off and went for a particularly hilly 18 mile bike ride in level 4 (of 5). I averaged 18 mph!! This was significantly faster than I’ve cycled the route in the past and, it was a head on wind most of the time.
I am absolutely delighted with the service, quality of build and equipment. It really brings the fun back into my cycling and is a good training partner to become fitter.
I purchased the battery purely to assist my cycling and, it does this in spades.

When I was aware of your conversions of ordinary push bikes through a friend I was immediately interested.
I opted for you to convert my Giant Trance2 into an E Bike.

The bike isn’t heavy which made the conversion fantastic.

Having found this local business I thought it would be a great idea if the could convert my very old hybrid bike into an ebike because I was well used to my bike so knew I would not need to get used to a new bike all over again. I rang and spoke with Matt (the owner) who asked me to bring my bike over to see if it could be converted and on getting to his house he confirmed that Sachs hybrid bike could in dead be converted, I was surprised when I found out he and his team could do it in just one week, we discussed what option there were for my bike and then decided there and then to go ahead and get it done mainly because Matt was not only proffesional but also gave me the impression that he was confident that they could give me the ebike I had been looking for, for so long.
True to their would Matt delivered my ebike to me at my home only 1 week after it was given to them. I was stunned for a bike that was well over 20 years old my Sachs bike looked new, they had done a full service on the bike as well as fitting all the electronics with bigger motor and a beast of an upgraded battery. His mechanic had even tidied up the frames paintwork. I cannot praise their work highly enough but I will recommend the company and their proffesional attitude to all that I know and come across in my travels. Matt I would like to thank you and your mechanic for the work that I know you have both done on my bike.

Matt converted my wife's Trek mtb into an ebike. It's brilliant and covers the miles quickly and smoothly.
The best part is that my wife is always smiling especially when travelling up hills.
The bike will be put to the test when used to travel through France from north to south later this year.

It has been a fantastic experience having my bike converted with E-My-Bike. Matt has been a delight to interact with - friendly, knowledgeable and honest.
The communication has been excellent throughout the process; Matt was very clear from the outset, about what the conversion entailed and what the challenges would be (as my bike had a wide bottom bracket, and different handlebar layout). Despite encountering various issues along the way, in the true spirit of engineering (crafting a custom bottom bracket adapter, 3D printing the display and controller mounts, to mention a few) he was able to overcome all of these and deliver a stunning e-bike! (also special thanks to Adam!)

I was looking at spending £5k plus on an emtb when I came across E My Bike. Talking to Matt it became clear that for under £1500 I could achieve better range and performance on my existing mtb.
I had some reservations about conversions and Chinese motors but Matt and the reviews put me at ease.
I’ll review the bike again once I’ve put some serious miles on it. What I can say already is that Matt and Adam are a real pleasure to deal with, quick to respond, personal service and not greedy.

My first choice for the E-Bike upgrade didn’t really lend itself to the upgrade due to the frame design and Matt and his team were never happy about proceeding, even though it reflected as a loss of revenue for them.
Fortunately, I had a second-choice option, and this worked out really well for me. Matt was also able to accessorise the bike for me with upgraded knobbly tyres and a dropper post, which I am really pleased with.
All in all, Matt and his team provided a fast, professional, first class service, and I would recommend them to any-one out there looking to upgrade to E-Bike technology.

Bought a specialized MTB and sent straight to Adam for conversion. Just over a week later it was delivered to my door by Matt and what a lovely conversion it is.
I've not been anywhere near a bike in years so was eager to see how it performed. I was not disappointed.

So you know what you want, because you read about it, seen it on YouTube, or you have got this idea in your head. Trouble is, where do you go to bring this dream about. The answer, certainly in my case, was "E My Bike".
Matt and Adam have all the ideas and knowledge of how to put the components together and make them work. In fact, the wilder the idea, the more enthusiastic and excited they might get.
They know how to configure components together and make them work. They are also very meticulous about getting everything "just right". In my case, I think ,that by modifying a recumbent trike into something very special for me and my particular needs, I could not have landed in a better place with two more engaged people.

New lease of life for 22 year old Decathlon Rock Rider 9.2 - and its aging rider.
First ride on 12 mile hilly circuit took 1 hour. Before the e conversion was taking 90 minutes.
Battery dropped from 84% to 56%, which suggests range of around 40 miles hilly. And still quite a good work out.

Having gone from a 2 car to a 1 car family I decided I wanted an electric bike to use as transport when my wife has the car. Having looked at various expensive purpose built bikes I decided that the best option would be to convert one of my existing bikes. I researched on online and decided that e-mybike offered the best package so contacted Matt at e-mybike.
From the first call and throughout the process Matt has proved to be friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic, always responding to texts and phone calls quickly.
I dropped my bike off on a Saturday morning and Matt told me it would be ready within 2 weeks and sure enough on day 13 Matt called to say it was ready.
When I collected the bike Matt explained everything and we went for a short ride together.
Unfortunately when I got home there were some teething problems, I contacted Matt and these were resolved quickly, with no quibbles.
I have now ridden about 50 miles and after making some slight changes to the way I ride have found the bike a complete joy. I have increased my average speed by circa 40% and hills no longer fill be with dread as I cruise up them, rarely needing to use the top setting on the motor.
The motor is very quiet and if it wasn't for the substantial battery on my down tube people I pass would not know I was riding an ebike.
After 50 miles I have had to charge the battery but, expect to increase that range going forward as on my first ride I rode on the highest power level just to see what the bike would do. Also I have actively sort out hills to test the bike and have rode in some strong winds.
All in all a great experience and product - cheers Matt.

Matt added an electric assist system to my Pashley Paramount in October 2022. I’m very pleased with the result and I recommend his service to anybody considering an upgrade to their existing bike.
I bought my Pashley from Ben Hayward & Sons in Cambridge (now sadly missed) fifteen years ago. It’s a heavy, bombproof, steel-frame bike but following a back injury I needed some help with my cycling. The Bafang motor sits snugly against the post tube and double loops; the display is clear and intuitive; and the rack-mounted battery pack transfers the additional weight through the rear wheel yet keeps the clean, iconic lines of the bike.
It took me about twenty minutes to get used to the system; the power kicks in smoothly and enables a constant speed to be maintained (limited to 15mph).
I use the bike on my daily commute – 8 miles each way. The additional power helps to overcome hills or headwind so that I can maintain a steady cruising speed. I've found that my overall journey time is reduced.
Thanks to Matt for adapting the Bafang system to make it fit this bike.

E-My-Bike has opened up cycling for me again on a whole new level, I now feel free to really explore my whole local area without the constraints of running out of energy and only doing certain routes because of the hills.

As a confident and regular cyclist, I borrowed a ebike from E-My-Bike on the Isle of Wight.
I appreciated the short run through and explanation of the simple controls before starting my ride and was genuinely impressed at the slick professional install on the standard bike.
The bike was a little bit heavier for its upgrade, but nowhere near as heavy as I expected. The crank mount motor and mid-frame battery position means the weight is down low and central to the bike, and did not affect the handling as a result.
When riding, it took only a few seconds to adapt to the electric motor assist - it's a very natural feel to the bike, it's just that up-hills aren't really there anymore. Downhill the bike handled beautifully and I'd be totally confident riding any local trail.
After the ride, and really trying to heavily use the motor uphill, a lot more than I felt I really needed to, I was also impressed at how little charge had been used from the battery - these bikes would last all day.

I had my first E-My-Bike experience on the hilly Isle of Wight.
I was given clear and helpful instructions before setting off, and was excited to compare an e-bike with a standard bike ride.
The bike was beautifully built, with the technology smooth and very ergonomically put together.
Approaching the first hill, I applied the assisted power and instantly felt at ease with the normally challenging prospect of a slog up the hill (often at the expense of a growing queue of traffic in tow). Instead, I was able to enjoy the scenery and the pleasure of travelling on two wheels instead of huffing and puffing for the entire ascent.
I had a huge smile on my face throughout, and already I can’t wait for my next ride!

After exchanging our caravan for a motorhome we decided to get electric bikes as at the age of over 60 with a replacement left hip and arthritic right knee I couldn't see me getting very far..
I put a general question out on FB and got numerous different advice, one been from Matt who seemed knowledgeable in electric bikes... we had to purchase 2 bikes (Carrera Hellcats) and Matt picked them up from his local store he converted them and we went down to him...Wow can they go...
I am now convinced riding the bike with a little help (electric) has helped my arthritic knee loosen up.. and we are looking forward to many more assisted journeys 😃👍

I've been looking at getting an E-bike for sometime now as had a knee injury early this year and my wife came across Matt's E-My-Bike.
From the word go of meeting Matt and trialing his E-bike I was hooked on getting my own bike converted into an electric one.
What a great decision that was especially as I had been given the run around from the Facebook E-bike company Eskute who I had purchased a bike but had not received for sometime after purchasing so got a refund and contacted Matt who reassured me I had made the right choice in going with him and now with finally riding my E-bike it is so much fun.

Highly recommend Matt at e-my-bike. From first contact to even now post delivery communication has been great. I arranged for my husband to go on a test ride, I ended up tagging along and by the end of it I was sold!
Never ridden an ebike before, recommend the trial ride with Matt he tells you all about the bike setup and how it all works. You can tell he knows his stuff and is also passionate about what he builds.
The turnaround from delivering our bikes to Matt for upgrading was super quick with updates all along the way.

We had our bikes converted a while ago and have been loving exploring with them.
We did notice a slight issue with one of the motors and contacted Matt. He couldn't have been more helpful. Our concerns weren't dismissed and he not only did he discuss the issue with us, he looked into the problem and contacted Bafang. He has sorted it all out with no hassle for us at all and kept us updated every step of the way.
Excellent, customer service as it should be! Thank you Matt, we are looking forward to many more hours on the bikes.

We had both our mountain bikes converted after speaking to a couple who had already had it done by Matt.
We live in a very hilly area, with 1:6 hills to negotiate every time we go out. The conversion has made so much difference, it's unbelievable. Our routes are now limited only by time and our imagination, rather than trying to avoid the worst hills.
To give you an example, I usually have to ride in 1st gear up the hill to our house (11 speed cassette) at just over walking pace. Yesterday, I flew up in 4th gear at 15mph!

So today Julia and I took delivery of our electric bikes! Some might say that we are opting out but these will make a huge difference to our cycling options. They are in fact our old bikes refurbished and converted to electric by E MY BIKE.
They have done a fantastic job for us converting our old bikes and have to say one of the nicest businesses we have ever dealt with! No question was considered silly, and no effort spared in providing exactly what we wanted. Even collected the bikes and delivered them back when ready.
Only 4 days from start to finished!
The bikes have really powerful middle motors and long range batteries. A quick trial today and I can honestly say that I have never ridden a bicycle like it! We can't wait to have a proper day out on them.
If you are thinking of E-Bikes you really should consider these guys.

Our experience with E-My-Bikes couldn't have gone any better. From the initial phone enquiry to ask about converting our bikes, Matt took the time to answer all my questions and answer some questions I hadn't even thought of.
We were then invited to visit, explain all about the battery, mini computer and try some demo bikes to see if we were happy with the concept. We were!
A few weeks later, we visited again to collect our bikes. Matt again took us out on a test ride to familiarise ourselves with the controls to ensure we were completely happy.
All in all we would thoroughly recommend E-My-Bikes if you have your own bike and wish to have it converted at a very reasonable price, or alternatively they also sell brand new bikes which they convert at a higher price but still reasonable.

My wife discovered this company via FB and I did some research before contacting Matt (the owner) via his live chat facility on his website.
Matt is a very enthusiastic e-biker who loves to find ways of making his products better and better with no corners cut.
After having 2 standard Evans mountain bikes delivered to Matt he set about converting them for us with texted updates and also telephone called every step of the way. We live 200 miles away so I arranged a courier to collect from him and deliver to me......Matt even packaged them up for safe transportation.
Having now having them for a few weeks (but still getting used to them and what they are capable of) I felt confident enough to write this review.
To sum up E-My-Bike is a great company run by a great bloke making great ebikes in an extremely cost effective way.
Don't waste £££s on the overpriced shop ones when there's an easily comparable solution like this on the market. Two brand new fully converted bikes cost me £2875 delivered when I wouldn't have got one for that price from any of the even cheaper factory made brands.
Well done Matt and thank you, Andrea and I wish you every success in the future, you deserve it.

My first introduction to E-MY-BIKE was through a friend who had just had her manual mountain bike converted to an e-bike, this was completed within 24 hours. Her reason for doing this was based on being impressed with my own e-bike, however, the incredible reaction she got from hers compared to mine was mind blowing. I therefore had to go down the same route and look into getting what she had …..
E-MY-BIKE proved to be very supportive and helpful, assisting in the purchase of a new manual bike and then going to the next extreme to make sure it was perfectly equipped. My own e-bike was not suitable for conversion and the problem I have is I am somewhat of a fanatic for having exactly what I want – colour / sit up and beg style bike / everything matching – this is not easy to find, but they helped and we got there.
The most impressive part from my viewpoint was the aftercare support – the e-bike was fitted to me and I was comfortable in the riding aspect. A further visit was required when I had a small accident in the nettles, they came over and we had a bike ride around the lanes making sure I was happy with no further mishaps.
Matt – thank you very much indeed for the personal touches you gave to make this a very impressive and happy experience – looking forward to many rides on my very smart and powerful e-bike.

Anyone thinking of investing in an E-Bike then talk to Matt at E MY BIKE first. I ordered a standard Cererra Vengeance Mountain Bike from Halfords and had it delivered to Matt.
He has done a fantastic E-Bike conversion for me. That bike can shift effortlessly!!!!
He has also 'pimped' it up a little to subtly set it apart from all other black Carerras, by adding some personal blue touches.
I would totally recommend Matt and his little extra touches and attention to detail set him apart from the rest.
I wanted an E-Bike to help with towing my dog in her new trailer when I am away in my motorhome. I will have to keep reminding myself she is there!!!

Bought a Carrera Hellcat from Halfords and had E My Bike convert it to electric. Great service, friendly approach and a great product delivered to me in a couple of days.
Been out on it today for the first proper go, and did 11 miles........still got the smile on my face
Means I now have a bike that should cost of £2K for a fraction of that figure.

I was going to convert my bike myself but, choosing the right kit, waiting for it to be in stock, reliability etc put me off. So I had a chat with Matt at E-My-Bike co.uk and he reassured me about everything.
He collected my bike and converted in a couple of days. Amazing! He delivered it back and took me through everything. He had not only converted my bike, he'd cleaned it, cleaned and greased the chain and gears properly (because Halfords use cheap grease which just gunks everything up). He also added a light and other bits and bobs which were very kind of him and really was the finishing touch.
As far as the bike is concerned, I couldn't be happier. The pedal assist is brilliant and gives me so much confidence knowing that I'd cope with any hill easily.
I couldn't recommend E-My-Bike enough. Excellent service, quality parts and fantastic value.
My bike and I have a new lease of life!

My other half was contemplating getting an e-bike. I mentioned that her mountain bike could be converted and although we looked at a bespoke e-bike, we went to see Matt at E-My-Bike who was extremely knowledgeable and explained the options very clearly. We had a test ride on his e-bike conversions which were amazing and there was no hesitation in placing an order.
The bike was built in no time and Matt kept us informed of the progress. The bike has been a revelation and has been used most days over the last couple of weeks. Friends of ours have tried it and have already been in touch with Matt to discuss converting their bikes - I expect there to be more orders going in E-My-Bike's direction in the near future. Researching e-bikes, I came across Matt's website on FB. I was impressed that he uses Bafang motors (highly recommended by another friend). He suggested that my old bike could be converted and we agreed to give it a go.
He was very helpful and communicated all through the process and now that I've had it for a few weeks I'm really enjoying it. I especially love riding up the hill toward home, rather than having to walk the bike!
Matt is very knowledgeable and enthusiastic and his customer service is excellent. He explained everything in a very user-friendly manner, and I felt confident that this would be an excellent solution. Taking me on a 'test-ride' with his own bikes, gave me a good understanding of how the e-bike works.

I had been interested in buying an electric bike for some time, but, despite doing my research I was none the wiser as to the various options available.
Having seen the E-MY-BIKE site, I was impressed with the concise way the information was provided. The option to buy new or have your bike converted was a winner for me.
My old bike had seen better days but Matt confirmed it was suitable for conversion. Following a conversation with Matt, I took the plunge and joined the e-bike community. The first ride was unbelievably impressive. The 'electric assist' allows you to climb up hills effortlessly, whilst on easier terrain you can pedal with as much or as little effort as you would like, by turning off the 'assist'. Cycling has been re-invented for me, no more worries of tiresome hills, the area is now open to be explored.
I have been impressed with the quality of the components and the confidence that this e-bike option now provides me with hours of cycling fun.

What an excellent service from Matt.
I've just taken delivery of my converted 4 year old Specialized Vita and it's absolutely wonderful. Matt was so informative throughout the whole process and has done a fantastic conversion with excellent workmanship. The bike rides really well and looks great.
I can't wait to be powering up hills in Scotland later in the year.
I would definitely recommend having your old bike converted if possible and can't recommend Matt's service highly enough. All in all a five star service.

Matt (ebike) was very knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. He pulled out all the stops, came back with alternative solutions when he found a fault in my own bike. He made 3 home visits to ensure the bike was tuned to my personal specifications. I cannot fault his service and kindness.
The bike battery is excellent and did 50 miles already and only used 50% of battery.
I genuinely can recommend his service and will be recommending this enterprising young man to others.

After reading about E-my-bike on a motorhome forum I contacted Matt and asked a few questions about his service and was impressed by his enthusiasm and knowledge.
I talked to my wife about her Dawes cycle being converted and at first she was not too sure, however eventually she agreed to have it done.
On completion Matt delivered the cycle and my wife set off warily down the road on a test ride. About 25 minutes later she returned with a great big smile and said it was great.
